FAQ
Questions new clients often ask.
When should I reach out about the 2027 tax season?
As early as you can. Fall and early winter are ideal: there's time for a proper introduction, year-end planning before December 31, and a smooth start once your forms arrive. New-client availability narrows as January approaches.
What do I need for the introductory call?
Nothing formal. It helps to have last year's return handy and a rough idea of what changed this year, such as a new job, a move, a home purchase, or a new business.
Do I ever need to come in person?
Only if you'd like to. Many clients work with Beacon entirely online through secure upload, e-signature, and video meetings. Local clients are always welcome to meet in person.
What if I'm behind on prior-year returns?
It's more common than you'd think, and it's fixable. We'll help you understand what's outstanding, get caught up in a sensible order, and handle any related notices.
Will I be able to reach someone during tax season?
Yes. Clients have a direct line to the CPA handling their work, and questions get answered by someone who already knows the file.
